My Goal

I started Delightful Ceremonies to help you make your wedding ceremony dreams come true! Together let's plan the personalized ceremony you will cherish forever. We can include your cultural- or traditional beliefs, or we can create something uniquely your own. All to make your special day delightful!

What I Do, What You Do

Your best interest is in mind when designing a ceremony. Let's set the scene: I offer a variety of ceremonial scripts you get to preview, and we can incorporate your own. We can do add-ins such as lighting a unity candle, sand mixing, handfasting, you name it. Writing your own vows? I am here for you for that, too, if needed. We can communicate limitlessly through meetings, email, text, phone calls, FaceTime, Zoom, etc.

Your part of the process is to obtain a marriage license from your home county clerk's office at least 3 days before the ceremony, but no more than 30 days. You will also need two witnesses. Out of state? Obtain a license from the county where your ceremony will take place, and provide two witnesses. (Either way, I can help with witnesses).

I will deliver the signed- and witnessed license to your county clerk's office within a couple of days. You will receive a ceremonial marriage certificate from me on your wedding day, and the license from the clerk's office within a couple of weeks.

Your Wedding, Your Way

I will provide you with a ceremony that you will cherish. Costs include the night before rehearsal and day of wedding ceremony (within 50 miles). Here are typical ceremony styles, please keep in mind that all ceremonies are customizable and can be as creative as you'd like:

Traditional: Customary ceremonial traditions dictated by religious beliefs as a symbol of the couple's faith, $375

Contemporary: This includes aspects of traditional but is not so much focused on the religious message. It can also be held in unique locations, $375

Simple: The "I do's", two witnesses, up to 12 guests, and a short positive message, $225

Just the Essentials: The "I do's", two witnesses, signatures. Just to make it legal, no ceremony, $125

Renewal of Vows: Allows the couple to recommit and publicly share their love and devotion, $225

I travel a wide circle for my clients: Old Mission Peninsula, Leelanau Peninsula, Interlochen, all of Traverse City, up through Elk Rapids, Charlevoix, and Petoskey, over to Mancelona, and down to Kalkaska.
